Hazard

Hazard(s)

Task - Emptying of none sharp, clinical waste bins throughout surgery. Staff where required, are tasked with taking Yellow bags from a clinical waste bin. Tying them (either at the top of the bag or with cable ties if required) removing them from their holder/bin and replacing with a new bag. This tied bag should then be stored in the correct storage place for collection by the outside hazardous refuse collection service. At no point should any member of staff go in to a bag under any circumstances. All works undertaken should be done outside of the any yellow bags. If spillage of products from within the bag occurs, this should be cleared back in to the yellow bag or a new yellow bag only. Using dust pan, brush and gloves.
