Procedure
Preparation
1. Read the MSDS: Ensure you understand the hazards associated with the cleaning chemical. The MSDS should be readily accessible on site.
2. Check PPE: Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, goggles, and a face mask if needed.
3. Area Preparation: Ensure the area to be cleaned is well-ventilated. Place warning signs to notify others of the cleaning activity and potential hazards like slippery floors.
Application
1. Shake the Bottle: If required, shake the spray bottle to ensure the chemical is well-mixed.
2. Test Spray: Test the spray on a small, inconspicuous area to ensure it does not damage the surface.
3. Spraying the Chemical:
o Hold the spray bottle at a recommended distance (usually 6-12 inches) from the surface.
o Spray evenly across the area to be cleaned, avoiding over-saturation.
4. Cleaning the Surface:
o Allow the chemical to sit for the recommended contact time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
o Wipe the surface with a clean cloth or paper towel, working in a circular motion.
o For stubborn stains, repeat the process if necessary.

1. Disposal: Dispose of used cloths or paper towels in a designated waste container.
