Potential harm or ill effects

Skin contact-There may be irritation and redness at the site of contact. Eye contact-There may be pain and redness. The eyes may water profusely. Ingestion-There may be soreness and redness of the mouth and throat. Nausea and stomach pain occur. Inhalation-There may be irritation of the throat with a feeling of tightness of the chest.

First aid arrangements

Skin contact- Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Eye contact-Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Consult a doctor. Ingestion-Wash out mouth with water. If conscious, give half a liter to drink immediately. Transfer to hospital as soon as possible. Inhalation-Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so.

Spillage / release action

Dispose of waste and residues in accordance with local authority requirements.

Work method and control measures

Place channel blocks in toilets using wearing suitable gloves. ALL CONTAINERS MUST HAVE THEIR LIDS SECURELY FITTED WHEN NOT IN USE. ALL CONTAINERS MUST BE SAFELY STORED WHEN NOT IN USE
